Does New Path Center Counseling Center offer professional mental health services?

The Counseling Center is made up professional who provide service in a variety of areas of mental health.

What are the professional background of the counselors?

We have Licensed Marriage and Family Therapists (LMFT), Licensed Clinical Social Workers (LCSW), Associate Marriage and Family Therapists (AMFT) and Associate Social Workers (ASW) who offer individual, couples, family, and group counseling. All counselors have a minimum of a Master’s Degree.

What is faith-based counseling?

Faith-based counseling combines professional counseling techniques and Scriptural principles in a unique approach to mental health issues.

Do I have to be faith-based to use your services?

Our services are available to everyone. We are a faith-based counseling center, but our approach is to meet people wherever they are, in all areas of life.

How do I make an appointment? 

Visit the Counseling page of our website for contact information for each of our professionals.

May I choose my own counselor? 

You may request a particular counselor. Your preference will be honored if your presenting issue is within their treatment area, and if your counselor of choice has available appointment times.

How long do I need to wait to see someone?

Generally, a consultation will be within a week of your initial call. Times vary for each counselor based on availability.

How much does counseling cost? 

Counseling Center fees for professional services are similar to other mental health practices in the area. Specific fee information is provided by each counselor when you call for an appointment.

How long does counseling take? 

The length of treatment depends on many factors. It is primarily determined by the nature of the issue(s) and the motivation of the client.

Who do the counselors serve?

Services are provided for families, couples, individuals, adolescents, and children.

What kind of issues do your counselors address?

The NPC Counseling Center professionals are trained in many areas, including marriage conflict, marriage enrichment, depression, anxiety, postpartum depression, eating disorders, posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD), childhood hurts/abuse, pastoral counseling, mental health challenges, play therapy, grief and loss, domestic violence, spiritual abuse, sexual addictions, women’s issues, career development, goal-setting, team building, conflict resolution, and life transitions.
